CLUNKING NOISE IN FRT. SUSPEN. (REPL. STAB. SHAFT LINK ASSY.)

SUBJECT: CLUNKING NOISE IN FRONT SUSPENSION (REPLACE STABILIZER SHAFT LINK ----------------------------------------------------------------- ASSEMBLIES ----------

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992-93 PARK AVENUE WITH F41 SUSPENSION --------------------------------------- 1992-93 LESABRE WITH FE3 SUSPENSION -----------------------------------

CONDITION

Some vehicles may exhibit a clunking noise in the front suspension when driving over bumps. This condition is more noticeable in cold weather.

CAUSE:

The stabilizer shaft link insulator material may compress over a period of time. New parts with a different insulator material have been used in production since June, 1993.

CORRECTION:

-----------

Replace the stabilizer shaft link assemblies with new P/N 25621457. Refer to Section 3C in the Service Manual. Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
