TRANSMISSION WHINE AT ABOUT 32 MPH IN A 1997 C CAR, CHECK FOR THE COOLER LINES HITTING THE BODY. ESPECIALLY LOOK IN THE AREA OF THE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT. THIS INSPECTION MUST BE PERFORMED WITH THE CAR ON A LIFT. A NUMBER OF CARS THAT WERE THOUGHT TO BE FINAL DRIVE GEAR WHINE WERE FIXED WHEN THE NOISE WAS TRACED TO A COOLER LINE HITTING THE BODY.
