- Remove the passenger air mix actuator.
Installation Procedure
- Install the passenger air mix actuator.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the passenger air mix retaining screws (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (12 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the passenger air mix actuator.
- Install the body control module and the HVAC programmer into the appropriate brackets.
- Install the I/P compartment. Refer to
Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement

Important: After the actuator has been replaced, the actuator must be recalibrated for proper travel. The ignition must be cycled on for 3 minutes in order to allow the programmer and the actuators time to recalibrate for
proper travel.
- Install the right sound insulator. Refer to
