Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the harness connector from the wiper motor.
  2. Turn the ignition to ON.
  3. Set the wiper switch to LO.
  4. Connect a test light from the wiper motor connector (harness side), terminal H, to ground.

Is the test light on?

Check for an open or a poor connection in CKT 477.

Is an open or a poor connection present?

Go to Step 4

Repair the open or the poor connection in CKT 477.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Remove the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .
  3. Connect a jumper from the wiper motor terminal (opposite the wiper cover terminal marked T3) to ground.
  4. Connect a fused jumper (10 amp) from the wiper motor terminal (opposite the wiper cover terminal marked T2) to battery voltage.

Is the wiper motor operating?

Replace the wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .
