Was the RAP System Check performed?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

  1. Close all of the passenger compartment doors.
  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  3. Using a scan tool in the RFA Special Functions.
  4. Go to OUTPUTS for RAP.
  5. Cycle the RAP function ON and then OFF.

Do the RAP controlled components operate?

Go to Step 5

  1. Remove the RAP relay.
  2. Measure the resistance from terminal 30 and 87 of the relay.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the RAP relay.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Cycle the ignition switch from RUN to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the RFA connector.

Do the RAP controlled components turn off?

Go to Step 6

Replace the RFA.

Is the repair complete?
