Removal Procedure

    Important: Observe the striker position and the number of spacers before removing the striker.

  1. Remove the 2 mini wedge striker fasteners (4).

  2. Object Number: 259139  Size: SH
  3. Remove the mini wedge striker (3), the spacer (2), and the washer (1).

Installation Procedure

    Important: Ensure that a washer is present on the lock pillar in order to prevent paint damage to the lock pillar.

  1. With the narrow part of the wedge facing outward, position the mini wedge striker (3), the spacer (2), and the washer (1).
  2. Caution: Striker alignment is crucial for proper operation of the door systems. Do not hit the striker with a hammer or force alignment in any other way. Failure to properly adjust striker will result in excessive door efforts or extensive damage to door system operation which could result in personal injury.

  3. Loosely secure the striker using the fasteners (4).
  4. Align the mini wedge striker. Refer to Door Lock Striker Adjustment .
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the 2 fasteners (4).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 striker fasteners to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  8. Adjust the striker assembly (if needed). Refer to Door Lock Striker Adjustment .
