Did you perform the Heated Seats System Check?

  1. Disconnect the appropriate heated seat switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper from the battery positive voltage (B+) to the appropriate heated seat switch connector cavity:
  3. • LH: cavity A (DK BLU)
    • RH: cavity A (DK BLU/WHT)
  4. Connect a fused jumper from the heated seat switch connector cavity E (BLK) to ground.

Does the high heat LED light?

  1. Disconnect the appropriate heated seat module connector 
  2. Connect a J 39200 (DMM) between the appropriate components:
  3. • LH: the heated seat module connector C1 cavity F (DK BLU) and the heated seat switch connector cavity A (DK BLU)
    • RH: the heated seat module connector C1 cavity F (DK BLU/WHT) and the heated seat switch connector cavity A (DK BLU/WHT)

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Replace the suspect heated seat module. Refer to Heater Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the suspect heated seat switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit between the heated seat module and the heated seat switch:

    • LH: CKT 1461 (DK BLU)
    • RH: CKT 1504 (DK BLU/WHT)

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
