Important: Use care when cutting to protect adjacent panels. Make sure to cut inboard
of the roof structure.
- Visually inspect and restore as much of the damage as possible
to the factory specifications.
- Remove the following as necessary:
• | Anti-corrosion materials |
- Locate, mark, and drill out all factory welds. Note the number
and location of welds for installation of the service assembly.
- Cut the original roof panel along the sides, leave approximately
75 mm (3 in) remaining attached.
- Cut the adhesive with an appropriate tool and remove the remaining
portion of the original panel.

- Clean and prepare the
attaching surfaces for welding (1).

the windshield and back glass edges for the service panel as noted from the
original panel.

(1 ½ in).
- Position the service panel and check the fit.
- Plug weld accordingly.
