Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 472605  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the fuel pump control module attaching nut (3).
  4. Remove the fuel pump control module electrical connector (2) from the fuel pump control module (1).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the fuel pump control module (1).
  2. Install the fuel pump control module attaching nut (3) to the fuel pump control module (1).
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel pump control module attaching nut to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the fuel pump control module electrical connector (2) to the fuel pump control module.
  5. Install the rear compartment trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
