J 43631 Stud Remover

1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the wheel and tire.



3. Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement .
4. With the hub and bearing mounted in a vise, use the J 43631 in order to press out the stud.

1. Install a new stud. Use washers (1) and a wheel nut (2) and pull the new stud into the hub.
2. Install the hub and bearing into the vehicle. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement .
3. Install the wheel and tire.

Tighten
Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 N·m (100 lb ft).

4. Lower the vehicle.
