Headlamp Replacement for Buick Park Avenue 2000

1. Remove the headlamp retainers.
2. Using a pry bar, carefully pry in the center area of the headlamp. Pry the headlamp assembly straight forward in order to unsnap the headlamp ball stud from the ball stud socket.
3. Slide the headlamp straight forward and disconnect the headlamp connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.
4. Remove the headlamp from the vehicle.

1. Install the headlamp to the vehicle.
2. Position the headlamp in order to align the locator pins with the headlamp mounting bracket.
3. Press the headlamp rearward in order to engage the ball stud with the ball stud socket.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the headlamp bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp mounting bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
