Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuel injector site shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.

    2. Object Number: 522271 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the cruise control cable at the TBI cam and the throttle body bracket.
  3. Disconnect the cruise control cable from the cruise control module.

    4. Object Number: 262704 Size: SH

    Important: Note the cable routing for replacement.

  4. Remove the cable from the retainers (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 522271 Size: SH
  1. Connect the cruise control cable to the cruise control module.
  2. Install the cruise control cable slug TBI cam. Ensure that the cable is under the hook.
  3. Snap the cable to the throttle body bracket.

    4. Object Number: 262704 Size: SH
  4. Install the cable to the retainers (1).
  5. Install the fuel injector site shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
