Seat Back Heat Element Replacement -- Front

  1. Remove the seat back cover.

  2. Object Number: 649812  Size: SH
  3. Install the seat heat element.
  4. • Remove the paper from the tape that is located on the back of the heat element.
    • Carefully position and press the heat element (1) onto the seat back cushion pad (2).
    • Tuck the narrow connecting strips into the seat back cushion pad trenches.

  5. Insert the seat heat element harness (3) between the seat cushion (4) and the adjuster assembly (5).

  6. Object Number: 649820  Size: SH
  7. Connect the seat heat element GREEN electrical connector to the Heat Module GREEN electrical connector.
  8. Cut off all of the old heat element harness (6) from the seat back trim cover.
  9. Important: Ensure the heat element is laying flat with no wrinkles on the seat back cushion pad.

  10. Install the seat back cover.
  11. Ensure the seat heat function is operational.

Seat Cushion Heat Element Replacement -- Front

  1. Remove the seat cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 649821  Size: SH
  3. Install the seat heat element (Park Avenue Ultra shown).
  4. • Carefully position and press the heat element (7) onto the seat cushion pad (8).
    • Remove the paper from the tape that is located on the back of the heat element.
    • Tuck the narrow connecting strips into the seat cushion pad trenches.

  5. Insert the seat heat element harness (9) through a hole located in the right rear corner of the seat cushion pad (10).

  6. Object Number: 649824  Size: SH
  7. Connect the seat heat element BLACK electrical connector to the Heat Module BLACK electrical connector.
  8. Cut off all of the old heat element harness (11) from the seat cushion trim cover.
  9. Important: Ensure the heat element is laying flat with no wrinkles on the seat cushion pad.

  10. Install the seat cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .
  11. Ensure the seat heat function is operational.
