The body control module (BCM) controls the courtesy lamps theater dimming. The ground will slowly reduce in order to turn the lamps to the OFF position. If there is a short to voltage condition in the courtesy lamp low control circuit, DTC B2453 will set.
The BCM detects a short to battery positive voltage in the courtesy lamp low control circuit.
• | Stores DTC B2453 in the BCM memory. |
• | No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC. |
• | A short to battery positive voltage is no longer detected by the BCM in the courtesy lamp low control circuit. |
• | A history DTC clears after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the fault is no longer present. |
