Removal Procedure
- Remove the left IP trim cover. Refer to
Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Left Side
.
- Remove the right IP accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side
.
- Remove the left IP accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side
.
- Block the wheels.
- Place the transmission control lever into the FIRST (1)
gear position, in order to allow clearance for the IP cluster trim plate
removal.
- Remove the IP cluster
trim plate fastener (4) from the left IP trim cover area.
- Gently pry the IP cluster trim plate (3) rearward in order
to disengage the retainers.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 2).
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical
connectors (1, 2).
- Align the IP cluster trim plate (3) to the IP.
Push inward to fasten.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the IP cluster
trim plate fastener (4) to the IP.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).
- Place the transmission control lever into the PARK position.
- Remove the blocks from the wheels.
- Install the left IP accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side
.
- Install the right IP accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side
.
- Install the left IP trim cover. Refer to
Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Left Side
.
