Important: When removing or installing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) the ignition must be turned off.
Notice: Refer to Handling Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Parts Notice in the Preface section.
Notice: Refer to Powertrain Control Module and Electrostatic Discharge Notice in the Preface section.
Important: VIN K has a black drain tube under the PCM housing and a black inlet area.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
4.1. | Push to secure the nut. |
4.2. | Assure that the nut is fully seated. |
Important: The outlet of the air cleaner assembly and the intake air duct must be lined up to the throttle body when completely installed. Misalignment may cause incorrect air flow readings resulting in MIL illumination or a driveability concern.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
