Removal Procedure
- Remove the hood latch striker. Refer to
Hood Primary Latch Striker Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Use a small-bladed tool in order to reach through the access hole
in the hood inner panel. While keeping upward pressure on the hood ornament,
carefully release the tabs retaining the hood ornament.
- Remove the hood ornament from the plastic retainer.
- If the plastic retainer is damaged, complete the following steps:
| 4.1. | Press the release tabs. |
| 4.2. | Remove the plastic retainer from the hood. |
Installation Procedure
- Install the plastic retainer, if necessary.
- Install the hood ornament to the plastic retainer.
- Install the hood latch striker.
