Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 861459 Size: SH
  1. Starting at the rear of the door, use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to remove the door molding from the door.

    2. Object Number: 321645 Size: SH
  2. Remove all adhesive from the door panel using 3M™ ScotchBrite molding adhesive remover disk 3M™ P/N 07501 or equivalent.
  3. Clean the door panel surface using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha and allow to air dry.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 861459 Size: SH
  1. If reusing the molding, apply new adhesive to the molding.
  2. Align the molding using the locator pins.
  3. Remove the backing from the adhesive tape.
  4. Press the molding to the door.

    5. Assure proper wetout of the adhesive by applying heavy hand pressure against the molding at the upper and the lower tape locations. Rub along the entire length of the molding.
