2

Verify that the Door Ajar Indicator Malfunction complaint is present.

Does the Door Ajar Indicator System operate as described in the Door Ajar Indicator Description and Operation?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

3

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Close all doors.
  4. With the scan tool, observe the parameter of each door ajar switch in the Driver Door Module, Inputs list:
  5. • Driver Door Ajar Sw.
    • Passenger Door Ajar Sw.
    • Left Rear Door Ajar Sw.
    • Right Rear Door Ajar Sw.

Does the scan tool indicate that the Door Ajar Sw. parameter is in the OFF state for all doors?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

4

  1. Open all of the vehicle doors.
