Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 258867 Size: SH
  1. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the sunroof control module.
  3. Remove the tape securing the electrical harness to the sunroof motor.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the sunroof motor.
  5. Cut the tie straps securing the electrical harness to the drive cable tube.
  6. Remove the rear compartment side trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  7. Disconnect the electrical harness (1) retainers from the rear sunroof drain hose

    8. Notice: Note the correct routing of the electrical wiring. Failure to reinstall the wiring properly could result in damage to the wiring.

  8. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) at the main body electrical harness (2).
  9. Carefully pull the harness from inside the vehicle up through and in behind the shoulder belt retractor.
  10. Remove the electrical harness from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 786918 Size: SH
  1. Position the single end connector first in behind the shoulder belt retractor down into the rear compartment.
  2. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the main body electrical harness (2).
  3. Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

  4. Secure the electrical harness clips to the rear drain hose.
  5. Connect the electrical connectors to the sunroof motor.
  6. Secure the harness (1) to the sunroof motor with new electrical tape.
  7. Connect the electrical connectors to the sunroof control module.
  8. Install the control module to the sunroof module.
  9. Ensure the locking tabs are secure.
  10. Secure the electrical harness to the drive cable tube with 2 new tie wraps.
  11. Verify the operation of the sunroof.
  12. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
