The fuel door release system consists of the following main components.

    • The fuel door release actuator
    • The IP-mounted fuel door release switch
The fuel door release actuator receives its power through the 15 A trunk release fuse in the rear fuse block, which is Hot At All Times. It is activated when the fuel door release switch is pressed. This supplies ground to the fuel door release actuator through G201.

Pressing the fuel door release switch releases the fuel door. The fuel door may also be opened using the manual fuel door release. The manual fuel door release is in the top of the rear compartment, on the left side.
