HVAC Faceplate Lens Available for Replacement - kw appearance controlcrack head scratch

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

This is a product VME going out to all Buick dealers regarding 2005 Buick Park Avenues. On some 2005 Park Avenues the HVAC control head faceplate was found to have a crack upon removing the protective covering at the time of pre-delivery inspection. This condition can be corrected without having to replace the complete HVAC control head. There is a replacement lens available, part number 16194688, to correct this condition. This same replacement lens can be used for any 1997 through 2005 Park Avenue that needs the lens replaced either for damage, scratches, etc.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
