The body control module (BCM) controls the courtesy lamps theater dimming. The BCM grounds the lamps directly. The ground will slowly reduce in order to turn the lamps to the OFF position. If there is a short to battery positive voltage condition in the interior lamp control circuit, DTC B2458 will set.
The BCM detects a short to battery positive voltage in the interior lamp control circuit for more than 0.15 seconds.
• | Stores DTC B2458 in the BCM memory. |
• | No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC. |
• | A short to battery positive voltage is no longer detected by the BCM on the interior lamp control circuit. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the fault is no longer present. |
