Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack.
- Remove the nut securing
the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.
- Lower the jack allowing the engine to lower slightly.
- Remove the bolt (4)
securing the mount to the body frame rail.
- Remove the two nuts (2) securing the mount to the body
frame rail.
- Remove the right engine mount (3).
Installation Procedure
- Position the right engine
mount (3) to the body frame rail.
- Install the mount attaching bolt (4) and nut (1)
to the body frame rail.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the two nuts (2)
securing the right engine mount to the body frame rail.
Tighten
Tighten the right engine mount to body frame rail nuts (1, 2)
to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
- Raise the engine into position.
- Install the nut securing
the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the right engine mount nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).
- Remove the engine support jack.
- Lower the vehicle.
