Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Read the current personalization setting for the automatic door lock mode. Refer to Driver Personalization in Personalization for a description of mode functions.
  4. Close all of the doors.
  5. Shift the gear selector out of PARK.
  6. Shift the gear selector into PARK.
  7. Turn OFF the ignition.

Did the automatic door locks operate as expected for the mode selected?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

With the scan tool, observe the Dome/Buzzer Sw. parameter of each door in the Driver Door Module (DDM), Inputs list.

Do all doors indicate OFF (door closed)?

Go to Step 4

Go to Courtesy Lamps Always On in Lighting Systems

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Important:: The automatic door locks personalization mode must be reset following RCDLR replacement. Refer to Driver Personalization in Personalization.

Replace the RCDLR. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
