Does the keyless entry transmitter lock and unlock the doors properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Keyless Entry System Inoperative

1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) module connector.
2. Connect a fused jumper from the RCDLR connector, interior lamp relay coil control circuit to ground.

Do the interior lamps illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Test the interior lamp relay coil control circuit for an open, a short to ground or a short to voltage. Refer to Testing for Continuity , Testing for Short to Ground , and Testing for a Short to Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Did you find a fault in the circuit?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the RCDLR module. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Transmitter Programming

Replace the body control module (BCM). Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating System for replacement, setup, and programming.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Transmitter Programming

Repair the faulty wiring. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
