For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear compartment trim on the rear seat. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Remove the push-pin fasteners (2, 3) retaining the global position sensor (GPS) antenna (1).
- Disconnect the GPS antenna cable (2) from the vehicle interface unit (VIU) module.
- Remove the GPS antenna from the vehicle.
Important: Note the position of the antenna on the rear self.
Installation Procedure
- Route the global position sensor (GPS) antenna cable on the rear self using the fasteners on the cable.
- Install the GPS antenna (1) to the rear self.
- Connect the GPS antenna cable (2) to the vehicle interface unit (VIU) module.
- Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Park the vehicle outside and verify the system is operative.
Important: The antenna (1) must be in the upward position as noted in the removal procedure.
