Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 247351  Size: SH
  1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the I/P fuse/relay center. Refer to Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor control processor electrical connector.
  5. Remove the blower control processor retaining screws.
  6. Remove the blower control processor (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the blower motor control processor (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (23 lb in).

  5. Connect the blower motor control processor electrical connector.
  6. Install the I/P fuse/relay center. Refer to Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.
  7. Install the I/P storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  8. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
