Roof Console Replacement Envoy XUV

1. Open the sunglasses compartment cover or the beauty cover on the console.
2. Remove the 2 screws (1) that retain the console (2) to the roof panel.
3. Pull the console down to disengage clips.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3).
5. Remove the console from the vehicle.
6. If replacing the console, remove the switches. Refer to Quarter Window Switch Replacement in Body Rear End.
7. If replacing the console, remove the garage door opener, if equipped. Refer to Garage Door Opener Replacement in Garage Door Opener.
8. If replacing the console, remove the OnStar® microphone if, equipped. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement in Cellular Communication.
9. If replacing the console, remove the noise cancellation microphone if, equipped. Refer to Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement in Entertainment.
10. If replacing the console, remove the personal message player/recorder, if equipped. Refer to Personal Message Player/Recorder Replacement in Entertainment.

1. If replacing the console, install the personal message player/recorder, if equipped. Refer to Personal Message Player/Recorder Replacement in Entertainment.
2. If replacing the console, install the noise cancellation microphone, if equipped. Refer to Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement in Entertainment.
3. If replacing the console, install the OnStar® microphone, if equipped. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement in Cellular Communication.
4. If replacing the console, install the garage door opener, if equipped. Refer to Garage Door Opener Replacement in Garage Door Opener.
5. If replacing the console, install the switches. Refer to Quarter Window Switch Replacement in Body Rear End.



6. Connect the electrical connectors (3).
7. Install the front retaining clips by pressing the console (2) into the roof.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

8. Install the 2 screws (1) retaining the console to the roof panel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.2 N·m (10 lb in).

9. Close the sunglasses compartment cover on the console or snap the beauty cover into place.

Roof Console Replacement Trailblazer, Envoy, Rainier

1. Remove the dome lamp lenses by gently prying the lenses from the console.
2. Remove the 2 screws that retain the console to the roof panel.
3. Release the front retaining tabs.
4. Lower the console and disconnect the electrical connectors as needed.
5. Remove the console from the vehicle
6. If replacing the console, remove the garage door opener if equipped. Refer to Garage Door Opener Replacement .
7. If replacing the console, remove the OnStar® microphone if equipped. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement .
8. If replacing the console, remove the personal message player/recorder if equipped. Refer to Personal Message Player/Recorder Replacement .
9. If replacing the console, remove the power sunroof switch if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
10. If replacing the console, remove the noise cancellation microphone if equipped. Refer to Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement .

1. If replacing the console, install the noise cancellation microphone if equipped. Refer to Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement .
2. If replacing the console, install the power sunroof switch if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
3. If replacing the console, install the personal message player/recorder if equipped. Refer to Personal Message Player/Recorder Replacement .
4. If replacing the console, install the OnStar® microphone if equipped. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement .
5. If replacing the console, install the garage door opener if equipped. Refer to Garage Door Opener Replacement .



6. Position the console to the roof panel.
7. Connect the electrical connectors as needed.
8. Seat the front retaining tabs.

9. Install the 2 screws retaining the console to the roof panel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.2 N·m (10 lb in).

10. Install the dome lamp lenses.
