Condition
Important: If the customer did not bring their vehicle in for this condition, do not proceed with this bulletin.
Some customers may comment that the driver and/or passenger power seat is inoperative, binding, jammed, or noisy. These issues can occur on all power seat adjusters both driver and passenger, memory and non memory seats.
Correction
GM Engineering is attempting to determine the root cause for the driver and/or passenger power seat inoperative, binding, jammed or noisy. GM has a need to obtain information from the dealer during diagnosis and before repair. This information will be
used to find the "root cause"of the condition and develop/validate a field fix.
Important: If the vehicle is located in the Southeast Michigan area with concerns of drivers or passengers power seat is inoperative, noisy, jammed, or binding, make sure that the concern can be duplicated. Call the engineer BEFORE
any diagnosis or repairs are made. DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS.

Important: If the vehicle is located outside of the Southeast Michigan area, please disregard above directions and perform the following steps.
- Make sure that the concern can be duplicated.
- Inspect to see what position the adjuster is in; full forward, midtravel, full backward.
- Inspect the wiring to ensure that the connections are secure.
