WE HAVE RECEIVED COMMENTS FROM THE FIELD THAT SOME 1988 3800 ENGINES HAVE EXPERIENCED FAILURE IN THE BALANCE SHAFT BEARINGS AND/OR DRIVING GEARS. SHOULD YOU ENCOUNTER A CONDITION REQUIRING REMOVAL OF THE BALANCE SHAFT OR PARTIAL ENGINE REPLACEMENT, CONTACT YOUR DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BEFORE ATTEMPTING REPAIRS.
