If an owner should comment about a rattle in the area of the rear compartment access door it can be corrected by installing a new coated rear compartment access door latch pin, P/N 20702007 (2 required).
Use the following procedure to install the latch pins:
1. Open the rear access door and locate the two (2) latch pins at the upper corners of the opening.
2. Holding the latch pin in position with a 14mm wrench, reach through the opening to remove the 13mm nut and washer.
3. Remove the latch pins and replace with P/N 20702007. Reinstall the washers and nuts.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
