IF THE PIN IS NOT WORN IN EXCESS OF HALF THE DISTANCE(FIG.9)USE A .038 FEELER GAGE TO BE SURE THE GROOVE IN THE PIN IS WITHIN THE DIMENSION. IF IT IS NOT WITHIN THE PROPER DIMENSION, AN IGNITION POINT FILE CAN BE USED TO OBTAIN THE PROPER DIMENSION. ANY SHARP EDGES MUST BE REMOVED TO PREVENT CUTTING, OR WHICH MIGHT PREVENT THE RETAINER RING FROM SEATING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE GROOVE. WHEN INSTALLING THE RETAINER RING, BE SURE THE RING SEATS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE GROOVE.
