DIESEL WATER PUMP GASKET LEAK IMPROPER SEALING

MODELS AFFECTED:

A 4.3L V-6 Diesel Engine coolant leak on the bottom side of the water pump on a 1982 or 1983 Regal may be caused by improper sealing of the water pump to front cover gasket. This condition may be corrected by removing the water pump and gasket and reworking the gasket as shown in illustration. If the gasket is damaged during water pump removal a new gasket can be reworked
