DIESEL WATER PUMP GASKET LEAK IMPROPER SEALING

A COOLANT LEAK ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE WATER PUMP ON A 1982 OR 1983 'G' MODEL MAY BE CAUSED BY IMPROPER SEALING OF THE WATER PUMP TO FRONT COVER GASEKT. THIS CONDITION MAY BE CORECTED BY REMOVING THE WATER PUMP AND GASEKT AND REWORKING THE GASKET AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1. IF THE GASKET IS DAMAGED DURING WATER PUMP REMOVAL A NEW GASKET CAN BE REWORKED.
