HIGH STEERING EFFORT-PARKING 5.0L W/F41 GRAN TOUR.SUSPEN.

MODELS AFFECTED : 1986 REGALS EQUIPPED WITH 5.0L V-8 ENGINE AND GRAN TOURING SUSPENSION (F41)

There have been some dealer comments of high-steering effort required during parking of 1986 Regals equipped with 5.0L V-8 engines and Gran Touring (F41) suspension and assembled with steering gear code "DM" (code located on side cover of gear). To reduce the steering effort on one of these vehicles, the power steering gear valve assembly should be replaced with service part number 7832058.

Since approximately October 1, 1985 subject vehicles have been assembled with gear code which has reduced steering effort.
