WATERLEAKS
Customer comments of waterleaks in the dash area or heater duct area may be caused by water entry via the door weather strip.
To verify this condition, remove the door opening garnish moldings along the roof and windshield pillar. Pull the door weather strip from the flange and inspect for water in the flange channel.
If water is present in the weather strip channel, dry and apply a bead of weather strip adhesive, 3M 80119 or equivalent, in the channel from the upper rear corner to the bottom of the windshield. In all cases, pinch the channel closed and reinstall.
Water test to verify fix.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
