FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING SQUAWK NOISE

SUBJECT: FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING SQUAWK NOISE (REPLACE STABILIZER BAR LOWER CONTROL ARM INSULATOR)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988-90 W-CAR

Condition:

---------- Some 1988-90 W-Cars assembled prior to VIN breakpoints indicated below may exhibit a squawking noise from the front of the vehicle at low ambient temperatures and normal vehicle operation.

Chevrolet - (OSHAWA #1) L9279163 - (OSHAWA #2) L1201451 Oldsmobile - 395552 Pontiac - 296738 Buick - 407852

Cause:

------- May be caused by the front stabilizer bar rotating in the lower control arm stabilizer bar insulators.

Correction:

------------ Replace existing lower control stabilizer bar insulators with new high compression insulators P/N #10152155 (2 required) following applicable Shop Manual procedure.
