SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

The following bulletin is for the 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick Regal, this information has been printed in the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Service Manual.

The following Notice should be inserted following Steering Wheel Removal, of Section 3F1 and 3F2.

NOTICE: WHEN REMOVING A STEERING WHEEL WITH REDUNDANT ELECTRONIC ACCESSORY CONTROLS IN THE HUB, CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO AVOID DAMAGE TO ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS. WHEEL PULLER BOLTS, USED WITH SPECIAL TOOL J 1859-03, SHOULD BE TURNED INTO STEERING WHEEL HUB NO MORE THAN FIVE COMPLETE TURNS. THIS WILL PREVENT BOLT CONTACT WITH SENSITIVE ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS.
