WATER ENTERS STORAGE COMPART. (INSTALL REVEAL MOLDING)

SUBJECT: WATER ENTERS STORAGE COMPARTMENT WITH DICK LID OPEN (INSTALL NEW BACK GLASS LOWER REVEAL MOULDING)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990-92 "W" SEDAN -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Application: 1990 - 1991 and some 1992 Buick Regal Sedans ------------

Condition:

---------- Water enters rear storage compartment when deck lid is open.

Cause

Back glass lower reveal moulding flange acts as a ramp for water running down back glass. Water "jumps" gutter and enters storage compartment if deck lid is open.

Correction:

----------- Install new design back glass lower reveal moulding, P/N 12516127 using Service Manual procedures located in Section 10-2 of the Service Manual
