SUBJECT: MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 6E3-C2-DRIVEABILITY AND EMISSIONS REVISED INTAKE PLENUM BOLT TORQUE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 A/J/L/W 3.1L VIN T

This bulletin updates the intake plenum bolt torque specification for the 1991 3.1L (VIN T) engines used in front wheel drive applications. The current specification, found on pages 6E3-C2-9 and 6E3-C2-18 in DRIVEABILITY AND EMISSIONS (Section 6E3-C2), "Fuel Metering System," of the Service Manual is incorrect. The correct intake plenum bolt torque is 10.0 N.m (88 lb. in.). The intake plenum is shown in Figure 1.
