BULLETIN BEING REVISED TO REMOVE THE 1991-94 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX FROM MODELS. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS INFORMATION SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUALS. TO PROPERLY REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER, THE ENSUING STEPS MUST BE FOLLOWED:
1. REMOVE THE LOCK ASSEMBLY FROM INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPARTMENT DOOR. 2. INSERT KEY INTO THE LOCK CYLINDER AND ROTATE THE LOCK CYLINDER TO THE LOCKED POSITION. 3. REMOVE KEY FROM LOCK CYLINDER. 4. NEXT, DEPRESS THE SILVER KEY TUMBLER BY INSERTING A SMALL BLADED SCREW DRIVER THROUGH THE SIDE HOLE IN THE LOCK CYLINDER. 5. REINSERT KEY INTO THE LOCK CYLINDER WHILE DEPRESSING THE SILVER KEY TUMBLER. 6. ROTATE THE CYLINDER CLOCKWISE AND REMOVE CYLINDER AND KEY.
TO REINSTALL THE LOCK CYLINDER, THESE STEPS MUST BE FOLLOWED:
1. DEPRESS THE SILVER KEY TUMBLER AND INSERT KEY INTO THE LOCK CYLINDER. 2. INSTALL THE CYLINDER AND KEY INTO THE LATCH ASSEMBLY.
3. RELOCK THE LATCH (ROTOR) AND ROTATE THE KEY TO THE UNLOCK POSITION. 4. REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE LOCK CYLINDER. 5. INSTALL THE LOCK ASSEMBLY TO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPARTMENT DOOR.
