Notice: Do not scratch or damage the clear coating on aluminum wheels with the tire changing equipment. Scratching the clear coating could cause the aluminum wheel to corrode and the clear coating to peel from the wheel.

Remove and install the tire over the curb-side bead seat. Machines which do not have a flat bed for the wheel to rest may cause cosmetic damage when the wheel is being clamped down. The bottom bead breaker on some machines may also cause cosmetic damage.

Most tire changing equipment manufacturers have aluminum wheel adapter kits and plastic or Teflon® coated tools which will prevent cosmetic damage. Even with these kits you must modify some machines.
