Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    3. Object Number: 176932 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ambient temperature sensor that is located on the left front radiator air baffle.
  4. Remove the push-in retainer from the ambient temperature sensor.
  5. Remove the ambient temperature sensor from the radiator air baffle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 176932 Size: SH
  1. Align the ambient temperature sensor to the radiator air baffle.
  2. Install the push-in retainer to the ambient temperature sensor.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the ambient temperature sensor.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  6. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) for approximately one and a half minutes or at a speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) for approximately one minute in order to obtain the ambient temperature update.
