SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE WINDOWS (DOOR GLASS) OPERATE SLOWLY WHEN GOING UP OR DOWN.
LISTED BELOW ARE FOUR CONDITIONS THAT MAY CAUSE SLOW MOVING GLASS.
A. THE GLASS RUN CHANNEL OUTBOARD LIP AT THE MIRROR PATCH IS ROLLED OVER OR THE GLASS RUN CHANNEL OUTBOARD LIP AT THE "B" PILLAR IS ROLLED OVER. SEE FIGURE 1, ITEM 1.
B. THE GLASS RUN CHANNEL IS NOT SEATED AT "B" PILLAR.
C. GLASS IS CROOKED IN THE OPENING.
D. MISALIGNED REGULATOR AND DOOR GLASS.
FOR CONDITION A:
1. IN MOST CASES, THE RUN CHANNEL LIP CAN BE PULLED OUT TO ITS CORRECT POSITION USING A 6" METAL SCALE. SEE FIGURE 1, ITEM 2. IF THE RUN CHANNEL IS ROLLED OVER BELOW THE BELT LINE, DOOR TRIM AND WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL MAY BE REQUIRED.
FOR CONDITION B:
1. WITH A FLAT BLADE TOOL, PUSH THE RUN CHANNEL REARWARD TO SEAT IT IN THE DOOR FRAME.
FOR CONDITION C:
1. REMOVE TRIM PANEL AND WATER DEFLECTOR.
2. LOOSEN THE REGULATOR TO GLASS BOLTS.
3. ROTATE CAM ON WINDOW REGULATOR PLATE SO SCREWDRIVER SLOT IS STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN. IN THIS LOCATION, THE BACK OF THE GLASS WILL TILT FORWARD. SEE FIGURE 2.
4. TIGHTEN BOLTS TO 10 N.M (89 LB IN).
FOR CONDITION D:
1. LOOSEN GLASS TO REGULATOR.
2. LOOSEN REGULATOR TO DOOR.
3. TIGHTEN REGULATOR BOLTS ACCORDING TO THE TIGHTENING SEQUENCE IN FIGURE 2, 10 N.M (89 LB IN).
4. TIGHTEN GLASS TO REGULATOR BOLTS 10 N.M (89 LB IN).
