Fuel Pump Resistor Replacement VIN 1

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 325832  Size: SH
  1. Remove the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
  2. Remove the washer solvent container. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor pigtail at the wiring harness connector.
  4. Remove the fuel pump resistor bolt.
  5. Remove the fuel pump resistor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel pump resistor.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Reinstall the fuel pump resistor bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel pump resistor bolt to 3-4 N·m (0.9 lb ft).

  5. Connect the fuel pump relay pigtail to the wiring harness connector.
  6. Reinstall the washer solvent container. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement .

  8. Reinstall the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
