Removal Procedure
- Remove the adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
- Move the seat forward to between the mid-position and full forward and also the full-up position.
- Remove the front seat retractor side belt anchor nut.
- Remove the front seat retractor side belt from the front seat.
- Remove the seat adjuster to floor pan bolts.
- Remove the power seat electrical connector, if equipped.
- For the driver's side only, disconnect the seat belt reminder electrical connector.
- Tip the seat forward and remove it from the front hook attachments.
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the front seat in the vehicle.
- Tip the seat forward and engage the front hook attachments.
- For the driver's side only, connect the seat belt reminder electrical connector.
- Install the power seat electrical connector, if equipped.
- Install the seat adjuster to floor pan bolts.
- Position the front seat retractor side belt on the front seat.
- Install the front seat retractor side belt anchor nut.
- Move the seat to the full back position.
- Snap the track covers onto the adjusters. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the adjuster to floorpan bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the front seat retractor side belt anchor nut to 42 N·m
(31 lb ft).
