Did you perform the PCM diagnostic system check?

Go to Step 3

Go to A Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (RPO 3.5L) or Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (RPO 3.8L) in Engine Controls

1. Install a Scan Tool.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Establish communication with the instrument cluster.
4. WOW the cluster ON.

Is the low fuel indicator lamp illuminated?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
2. Using a Scan Tool, observe the low fuel indicator lamp input.

Does the low fuel lamp read on with ¼ tank or less of fuel and the fuel indicator inoperative?

Go to Step 5

Go to A Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (RPO 3.1L) or Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (RPO 3.8L) in Engine Controls

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the repair complete?
