Did you perform the Instrument Cluster System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Test the vehicle for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

Are any DTCs present?

--

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List (RPO 3.1L) or Engine Scan Tool Data List (RPO 3.8L) in Engine Controls

Go to Step 3

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Connect a scan tool and enter into Instrument Cluster diagnostics.
3. WOW to Instrument Cluster on and then WOW the cluster off.

Is the SERVICE ENGINE SOON indicator off?

Go to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (RPO 3.1L) or Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (RPO 3.8L) in Engine Controls

Go to Step 4

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Did you complete the repair and test the system?
