  1. Perform the BCM relearn procedure. Refer to Body Control System Circuit Description in Body Control System.
  2. Attempt to start the engine.

Does the engine crank and start?

The SECURITY indicator lamp is inoperative due to a malfunction in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Perform the set up new BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reinstall the components that you removed.
  3. Reconnect the connectors.
